What will you do?
Build, maintain and strengthen the relationship between SCI and allocated institutional clients, ensuring to deliver excellent client service.
Identification & translation of client needs & servicing requests
Ensure all client requests, enquiries and complaints are resolved and communication to the client within our internal or contracted SLAs
Oversee client on boarding and new fund launch for allocated clients
Oversee and sign off on all fund related changes and all fund related changes
Oversee regulatory compliance breaches of allocated clients in line with internal policies and regulations.
Negotiate and review Partner Agreements (incl. SLAs & fee agreements)
Perform Due Diligences (including onsite visits) for allocated clients, and produce reports highlighting areas of concern and the mitigation actions to resolve.
Reporting on client relationship status to the Exco.
What will make you successful in this role?
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification (BCom/ BBusSci or similar)
A minimum of 7 years’ experience within the Financial Services industry.
Technical Competencies:
Previous experience within the unit trust industry would be beneficial
Knowledge and understanding of legislation such as CISCA, BN90, BN 52 and Regulation 28, etc. would be beneficial
Negotiation skills would be essential
Proficiency on MS Office (word, excel and PowerPoint)

Core Skills:
Communication: As the liaison for the customer and the rest of the company, the KAM has to excel at communicating in person, telephonically, via email, and across teams.
Company and Client Expertise: The KAM must possess an in-depth knowledge of the SCI and its outsourced vendors’ processes, systems, team structures and individual roles and responsibilities, regulatory requirements and its customer needs. This expertise allows them to identify the best opportunities for growth and service to the client.
Strategic Perspective: As the key contact between SCI and our strategic clients, they must possess an ability to develop mutually beneficial client relationships. They must have a thorough understand of SCI’s strategic objectives and initiatives and ensure fund managers and our service to them remain aligned with the organisation at all times. Also have a good understanding of our industry
Negotiation skills: the KAM’s goal is to build the lifetime value of their client and have the negotiation skills to ensure a mutually beneficially partnership for both client and SCI. They also have to negotiate with internal delivery teams of specialists to support the resolution of client enquiries and complaints.
Critical thinking/problem solving: The KAM needs to engage with the right people and ask relevant questions in order to establish the root causes of problem and ensure effective solutions are reached.
Discretion: Know your own limitations or gaps in knowledge to ensure the clients receive the most professional service at all times.
Qualification and Experience
Degree or Diploma with 6 to 8 years related experience.
