A large Retailer based in Randburg Johannesburg is looking for a Bakery Manager to join their team.
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Formal education through a culinary school or technical college will be an advantage.
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment
Understanding of food safety practices and health guidelines
Experience with cake decoration techniques
Excellent time-management and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of chemical processes, recipes, labelling and mixing in baking
Experience: Previous experience as a baker in a commercial bakery.
Knowledge: Understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy bags of ingredients.
Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring ingredients and following recipes.
Team Player: Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills.
Flexibility: Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
Hygiene Standards: Adherence to strict hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Creativity: Ability to contribute ideas for new baked goods is a plus.
