Rand Water is currently looking for a secretaty to assist by providing efficient secretarial and administrative support which contributes to the department achieving overall objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualifications required or equivalent or the successful completion of one of Rand water’s senior internal Management Development Programmes will be an advantage.
Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 qualification.
A diploma qualification /NQF 6 is a requirement.
2 – 3 years general secretarial, office support and administration experience.
Computer literacy (Ms Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Office administration.
Shorthand and minute taking.

Primary Duties

Reception of visitors screening and where appropriate deal with telephone calls.
Manage the manager’s diary and co-ordinate travel arrangements both nationally and internally.
Compile and type reports and presentations.
Undertake a variety of admin tasks within general guidelines.
Co-ordinate arrangement for a variety of meetings.
Assemble appropriate material for meetings and conferences.
Take dictation and transcribe from shorthand.
